Board and Batten Metal Siding: A Classic Look in American-Made Steel

Board and batten is one of the most recognizable looks in siding: wide flat boards with narrower raised battens running top to bottom. It shows up on farmhouses, barns, shops and modern homes alike, and it is one of the most searched siding styles we see. The difference is what it is made of. Our board and batten siding is formed from American-made steel, so you get the look without the upkeep.

Our BB750 Board and Batten panel alternates a wide vertical board with a narrower elevated batten. The batten stands 3/4" deep and 2" wide, which gives the wall real shadow lines instead of a flat printed pattern. The hardware is concealed: the panel installs with mechanical fasteners through pre-punched slots that are covered by the next panel, so the finished wall shows clean lines with no exposed screws. For wall applications, it is installed vertically.

Color and finish matter as much as profile. BB750 is available in two coatings:

• Durapon70 PVDF: engineered to resist chalking, fading and corrosion, with excellent gloss and color retention and a 40-year finish warranty.
• XT40S SMP: designed to resist scratches, impact damage and environmental wear, with a 30-year finish warranty.
